In 2005, a local grain producer, Gary Ruppert, began looking for a method to reduce the heavy lifting and increase productivity of the hectic harvest season. After enduring the constant in and out of a semi-truck to unload grain from the field, he began designing a device that would accomplish the auger repositioning process without the hassle he was currently experiencing.
