With winter weather moving across several states, I wanted to take a quick moment to say stay safe and check in on loved ones.

If heating becomes an issue, especially if you own a modular or mobile home:
*Keep cabinet doors open under sinks to allow warm air to circulate around plumbing.
*Let faucets drip slightly during extreme cold to reduce the risk of frozen pipes.
*Know where the main water shut-off is and how to access it quickly.
*Avoid using space heaters unattended and keep them away from flammable materials.
*Do not use gas generators or propane heaters in doors.
*Be mindful of exposed wiring, extension cords, and overloading outlets.
*If leaving town, consider having someone check on your home periodically.

Most of all, take care of yourselves and check in on family members. The weather can be stressful, and its okay to slow down, stay warm and focus on safety first. This too shall pass.
