Whether you’re a Democrat, a Republican, or an Independent, you’re probably tired of negative campaigning and bullying in Des Moines politics. So, am I.
The functioning of a democratic society has always been dependent upon the ability to disagree civilly. Unfortunately, we’ve lost a lot of that in recent years.

I will not use my campaign to attack other candidates. Instead, I will talk about facts and issues that matter to the residents of our great community. I will not tear down my opponent’s campaign signs or tolerate any such action by my supporters.
As a voter, you have a right to expect these things from your candidates. And when they count the final ballots this November, the people’s will should be embraced and those elected treated with dignity and respect, whether you voted for them or not.
