Project: Create in Iowa Report Year: 2025 Role: Editorial Design + Report Design + Original Artwork

Overview: I designed the Create in Iowa report for the Iowa Cultural Coalition, translating research, data, and community insights into a clear and engaging visual story. The report highlights the impact of Iowa’s creative sector while making complex information approachable and accessible for stakeholders, advocates, and community leaders.

The design balances professionalism with readability through intentional typography, structured layouts, data visualization, and thoughtful flow throughout the report. I also created the painted background artwork used throughout the report, adding a human and expressive visual layer that reflects creativity, culture, and the vibrancy of Iowa’s arts community.

The goal was to create a report that not only informs, but also supports advocacy, visibility, and a deeper understanding of the value of arts and culture across Iowa.
