Eighty acres of land was purchased and a clubhouse was constructed in 1968. This property allowed members and their families to enjoy hayrack rides, fishing, wiener roasts, dances, etc. A 40 x 60 foot addition to the building was built in 1972. In 1977, the council hosted the State Convention as well as the state bowling tournament. Columbian Acres sits on 80 acres of land, one half mile east of Rock Road on 71st St. Thirty acres have been donated to the Parish for the new church and school.
