Rod started “Acro Deco body piercing” (Bend Oregon) in 1998 and was the only registered nurse body piercer in the North West. By the year 2000, piercings became so popular that the Bend Bulletin featured Rod’s and Uncle Bills tattoo shop on the front page of the business section.
