When you work in space, you stop seeing borders and start seeing home. Home is one planet. You realize we’re all connected and watching that connection unravel is heartbreaking. Feeling unsafe for having an accent is a quiet kind of cruelty. I carry my home in my mouth—and It’s painful to feel foreign in your own voice. We didn’t cross borders—borders crossed us 💔

Today marks three years since I joined under the R&D umbrella—the most fun and exciting chapter of my space journey so far, and nearly 9 years working in the space industry since I first moved to Colorado from Juarez, Mexico, to work on my very first mission
Here, against all odds…

Celebrating feels complicated right now, but I wanted to pause and express gratitude for this moment.
