These 5 things are critical to an officer's safety and the safety of their scene during DV calls:

1. Arriving with as much context as possible
2. Recognizing signs of emotional volatility
3. Establish scene control early
4. Maintain constant weapon awareness
5. Stay vigilant after the arrest

Stay tuned...we’ll be diving deeper into how officers can be better prepared to manage risk and protect everyone involved in our upcoming blog series.

And follow ForceMetrics for more stories, insights, and conversations that move the future of public safety forward.

Public safety challenges rarely stop at jurisdictional boundaries. As one of our agency leaders puts it, “crime doesn’t stop at city lines,” and neither should a city’s data.

Too often, agencies are forced to piece together fragmented records across disconnected systems, slowing down decisions when time matters most.

Our latest blog explores why effective regional data sharing is about more than simply collecting information, rather, it’s about delivering actionable context in real time.

Officers in Colorado responded to an apartment complex after reports that an individual had either jumped or fallen from a fifth-floor balcony and had only the first name of the victim to go off of in their on-scene investigation.

We were grateful for the opportunity to attend the NOBLE CEO Symposium this past April! It was an incredible experience connecting with inspiring leaders, engaging in meaningful conversations, and gaining valuable insights from executives and innovators across industries.

A sincere thank you to the NOBLE team, speakers, sponsors, and everyone who helped make the event such a success. The discussions around leadership, growth, collaboration, and impact were both motivating and actionable.

Looking forward to staying connected and continuing the conversations started at this year’s symposium.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and we're looking back at our conversation with Brookhaven PD's Victoria Williams, who's a Mental Health Clinician working alongside officers to ensure their safety and the safety of their community.

Mental health clinicians, co-responders, crisis intervention teams, and more are making a difference in the public safety space every day. We are grateful to support cities like Brookhaven, GA that use our Velocity platforms to assist with these initiatives. Examples like these are what inspired our founders to start ForceMetrics.

What a week at IACP Tech 2026!

The public safety community showed up to Fort Worth, and even the rain couldn't keep the excitement down at IACP Tech 2026.

From the moment the doors opened at the Fort Worth Convention Center, our booth was buzzing with current customers stopping by to say hello, new agencies leaning in to see Velocity™ in action, and a partner announcement that kept the conversations flowing. It was the kind of week that reminds us why we do this work.

Thank you to everyone who attended our presentations, happy hour, and stopped by our booth last week!
