I've always found it interesting that my eggs always hatch within hours of each other yet my consistently hatch 1-7 days apart. These two hours old babies are the 2nd generation of my "White & Lavendar" Desert Banded Gecko project. I'm very excited to see how their color and pattern develops over the next several months.

Sunday mornings are for hatchlings. This little guy just popped out and is the result of 4 years of careful cross breeding and genetics tracking. He has 2 simple recessive genetic traits combined with 3 line bred traits...he's a Tremper Albino Super Hypo Tangerine Carrot-tail Eclipse...in other words: Solid red eyes on an orange body with orange and white tail, and no black pigment. I've always wanted one of these, so I made one! Look at him sticking out his tongue for the camera! 😆

I've done a lot of multi-het pairings this year with a goal to produce one male "Albino Tangerine WY Eclipse," since I didn't hatch any last year. I incubated my first 50 eggs for male in hopes of increasing my odds in 2021 and wouldn't you know the 2nd hatchling comes out with all the target traits! Looks like I will have quite a few extra males this year if you're in the market for one of these beautiful geckos.
