Looking for a unique outing for the weekend?🚃

This Saturday only, May 9th, the City of Lakewood is hosting an open house for historic Denver interurban car No. 25. This is a rare opportunity to step aboard this beautifully restored, vintage 1911 wooden interurban electric car that once carried passengers along the Denver & Intermountain Railroad's Denver-Lakewood-Golden line.

Preserved and restored by the Rocky Mountain Railroad Club over a span of 22 years and some 24,000 volunteer hours, the car is today owned by the City of Lakewood. It is one of the few remaining intact electric railway cars that once served the Denver area, and is even listed on the National Register of Historic Places!

To learn more about Car 25, check out our Railroad Attraction of the Month post from last September, highlighting its history: https://heyor.ca/mNs2wV
