Have you applied for one of DAV’s scholarships yet? Anyone can nominate a candidate, but the deadline is quickly approaching!
Each year, we award $110,000 in scholarships annually to student volunteers. Why? Because we want to encourage a lifelong love of volunteering in our nation’s next generation of leaders.
Students like our 2024 top recipient Amelia Marcum. She volunteered her time with DAV to create a veteran resource guide for North Dakota Native American veterans that’s been adopted statewide.
“But this is just the beginning,” Amelia said. “I am committed to building upon this work to advance resources for our courageous veterans.”
She’s using the scholarship to help her finish her degree at Stanford University so she can pursue a career helping underserved communities including veterans living in rural areas.
Scholarships can be used for any accredited institution of higher learning including colleges, universities, community colleges and vocational schools. Check out the link in the comments for more details and to apply.
