MAIA's mid-year team retreat is the perfect opportunity to come together as one family, take a break from our daily work, and celebrate everything we've accomplished together. It's also a time to share lessons learned, reflect on the challenges that help us grow, and recharge for everything still to come.
Throughout the retreat, each team brings its work to life through creative presentations, shares stories, exchanges ideas, and celebrates the impact we make possible together. Through team activities, meaningful conversations, and plenty of positive energy, we strengthen our connections and remember that collaboration is at the heart of our mission.
More than a retreat, it's a celebration of the people who make MAIA possible every day and of our shared commitment to creating more opportunities for Indigenous women and girls. 💜

With joy we welcomed members of MAIA's Board of Directors to the MAIA Impact School. Together, our diverse Board—made up of international allies, Guatemalan leaders, and MAIA graduates—spent time learning, asking questions, and strengthening the relationships that guide our work.
Throughout the week, they shared time with Girl Pioneers and their families, explored the realities and opportunities that Indigenous women and girls in Guatemala face, learned from our team, and came together for our annual Assembly and Board Meeting retreat.
These moments remind us that meaningful governance is built through relationships, shared learning, and a deep commitment to the communities we serve.
