It's officially time to start thinking about Senior Sessions. ✨

I don't photograph a ton of seniors each year, but every time I do, I'm reminded how much fun these sessions are.

One thing I always encourage? Pick a location that feels like *you*. Whether it's your favorite beach, downtown streets, or a quiet spot you've always loved, those personal touches make your photos feel even more meaningful.

Senior year is such a big milestone, a season of celebrating how far you've come and all the exciting things waiting ahead.

Before I was photographing weddings and families, I was photographing bands for my college newspaper.

I had a weekly feature called *Meet the Musician*, where I interviewed local bands and photographed their concerts. My very first assignment was the first metal music festival in Humboldt County.

Looking back, it feels like the start of everything.

The subjects have changed, but I still love telling stories through my lens.

I don't know about you, but I am ready for summer nights, good wine, and more conversations that make you lose track of time 🍷

I love that Aviana is women-led and created with connection in mind, because honestly, some of the best memories are made gathered around a table with your favorite people, a bottle being passed around, and music playing somewhere in the background

A little Throwback Thursday in honor of the Indy 500 last weekend 🏁✨

Sometimes you just need to grab your friends, chase the sunset, and give in to the need for speed for a minute. The noise, the adrenaline, and laughing so hard your cheeks hurt between laps.

This wedding was extra special for me.

Kate is a really good friend of mine, so getting to document a day that felt so fully them was such a joy. Every little detail held a piece of their story, their love, their humor, their inside jokes, all woven into the day in the sweetest way.

We met years ago through a mutual friend, then got closer after realizing we’d both made our way to Colorado at different times. So standing there, watching this beautiful life she’s built with her person? It just made my heart so happy.

And yes, we absolutely have to talk about the bacon cake toppers… because these two are, in fact, two bacons in love.
Also the pizza? Essential. Obviously. 🍕🤍

I’m just so happy for them and the love they have. The kind that feels playful, personal, and completely their own.

This sweet 16 session was an absolute blast.

Her idea? A tea party with her favorite stuffed animals, and we made it happen. 🫖🍪

She brought the tea, the cookies, and all her little friends, and we wandered around the trail finding the dreamiest spots down by the creek. It had the sweetest Alice in Wonderland feeling with a little goddess-session magic mixed in.

She was so excited to just play, create, and have fun with it, which honestly made the whole session feel even more special.

I love that she’ll have these photos to look back on and remember exactly who she was in this moment.

I just love food. Like… truly. 🍴

The colors, the textures, the tiny details, the way a little pour or sprinkle can make everything feel alive, food photography is such a fun kind of magic.

It’s playful, creative, a little messy in the best way, and always makes me want a snack immediately after.
