First light was just the beginning.

After sharing the first images from our collaboration, we’re taking a closer look at what they already prove for wildfire detection.

The scene shows Lake Francis Case, behind the Fort Randall Dam on the Missouri River, on the border of South Dakota and Nebraska. In the MWIR image, our sensor detected a small fire that other LEO satellites missed, demonstrating how thermal data from space can reveal events that are otherwise easy to overlook.

What makes this first image exceptional?
✅ There were plenty of LEO satellites in the fire’s timeframe. None of them detected it.
✅ We captured the fire during the afternoon gap! It started at around 17:00 local time.
✅ The fire was small and only lasted a short time, yet our sensors captured it anyway.

As our co-founder and CEO Mina Mitry discussed with in Colorado Springs, live thermal detection and rapid communications infrastructure should work together to make Earth observation a truly strategic capability.

This is not just about achieving first light. It is about proving the value of the infrastructure we are building.

We achieved first light from 🛰

The four thermal sensors we integrated into satellites are scanning the earth, giving you a first glimpse of what a global could look like!

🌎 This is the first step toward a live thermal stream of Earth: a capability designed to support earlier fire detection, more persistent monitoring, faster situational awareness, and timely responses when every minute matters.

FIDAE is Chile’s International Air and Space Fair. The biggest and most important of its kind in the region.

As part of our mission to support LATAM with satellite intelligence capabilities, we joined a strong group of partners and experts to show what we can achieve together!

We had the pleasure of sharing the booth alongside ARAUCO’s Fire Control Center command post, highlighting how our technology supports faster, smarter wildfire monitoring and response at a time when resilience is becoming a strategic priority across South America.
It was also a pleasure to reconnect with Zisoula Ntasiou and continue strengthening our collaboration through her valuable insights and expertise.

A special thank you to Fuerza Aérea De Chile for their invitation and congratulations on the organization of this extraordinary exhibition.

We are so proud of the incredible wildfire network we are creating. More and more, it feels like one team with a shared mission.
