We have been with from the beginning and have found increasingly tough headwinds as a business. We hoped to solve one of those by switching our domain hosting from Squarespace that had inherited it from Google Domains to Shopify. After being assured that would be a seamless transfer we went ahead. We started the transfer process on October 31. The actual transfer took place at some point after that but I can’t get a definitive answer from Shopify. Either way, on the evening of November 6th our site went offline and has not returned. I have been on at least 10 different chat sessions with support and have basically heard the same thing at each turn. “You will receive an email from Technical Support and it should be less than 48 hours to fix.” So far it has been 108 hours and I have yet to hear anything. Not only are we missing out on sales during this time, to the outside world it appears that our business has failed. Due to the fact that my domain status is in limbo, I can’t even effectively communicate by email as most of them will land in junk mail folders.

On top of that, the support structure at Shopify is abysmal. I am stuck chatting with faceless/voiceless profiles that take me through the standard script but at the end have no support to give. There is no escalation to a supervisor, there is no phone hotline. There is nothing.

In other fun news, our website has been down since Wednesday. Our friends at say it will be up in 48 hours or less. They have been saying this since Wednesday. So…in the meantime, please visit us at our shop at .
