We recently helped a client of our build out and train staff to use their own hybrid meeting capabilities to support their expanding footprint of facilities and remote workplaces.

We installed wireless video transmission modules, new microphones, and tied the whole solution together with a switcher in their server room.

The result is a very quick process to pull out a simple to use camcorder, launch a Teams meeting, and get on with the show.

This was an extremely enjoyable project to work on thanks to the technology that came to market just last year. Before these innovations, we likely wouldn’t have been able to conceive doing this.

We used 2 BMPCC6K camera and switched between a wide and close up shot with the ATEM Mini Pro ISO. Audio on our end was using a RODE NTG boom just out of frame.

The integration with 9NEWS was via StreamYard which is similar to zoom, but provides a broadcast ready layout.
