Father’s Day doesn’t have to be another last-minute purchase.
Some of the most meaningful ways to celebrate are also the simplest:
→ a walk outside
→ a meal you cook together
→ planting or building something that lasts
This year, consider trading things for time—and making space for a day that feels more intentional, and a little more lasting.

As PureSky continues to scale clean energy development, our leadership is evolving to support the next phase of growth.
We are pleased to announce that Jared Haines will join PureSky as Chief Executive Officer, effective June 22. With deep experience across solar development, financing, and ex*****on, Mr. Haines is well positioned to lead the company into its next chapter.
Following a mutual decision, Jared Donald has stepped down as Chief Executive Officer. Over more than a decade, Mr. Donald helped guide PureSky through significant industry change, building a strong foundation for the company today. We thank him for his leadership and lasting contributions.
PureSky remains focused on advancing solar and energy storage—delivering affordable, accessible clean energy to communities across the United States. We are confident in the path ahead and the opportunities to come.

Some of the most impactful solar projects aren't the biggest.
Located in Rice County, Minnesota, Veseli Solar Farm has been delivering clean energy since 2018, making it one of PureSky's longest-running community solar farms. It was also the first in our portfolio to feature single-axis tracking technology, allowing the panels to follow the sun throughout the day and maximize energy production.
Over the years, this relatively small project will create a lasting impact for local communities:
• Generating nearly $800k in subscriber savings over 30 years.
• Producing enough clean energy to power the equivalent of 276 homes
• Reducing carbon emissions by more than http://3.1 million pounds annually.
Veseli Solar Farm is proof that when innovative technology and community-focused solar come together, even a small project can make a lasting difference.

At PureSky, we’re driven by people who turn their passion for a more sustainable future into meaningful action. This month, we’re proud to spotlight Mike, whose work in project development helps bring clean energy projects from concept to reality.
“My education in atmospheric sciences made me acutely aware of our species’ impact on Earth’s climate system. I turned that anxiety and despair into inspiration in order to find a career in renewable energy where I can make a real difference in reducing our nation’s carbon emissions. PureSky Energy has provided me with that opportunity.
Over the past six years, I have played a part in developing dozens of solar and battery energy storage projects that are now in operation. These projects are actively offsetting carbon emissions and providing reliable, clean energy to thousands of customers.
I have the privilege of working with PureSky’s brilliant subject matter experts across various departments to advance the common goal of project development. I’m excited to be bringing many more projects online in 2026 and beyond.”
Thank you, Mike, for your dedication to advancing clean energy and for the impact you make through every project you help bring online.
A small detail on site—making a measurable difference. 🐝
At one of PureSky Energy's solar farms, Cedar Hill Solar in Castleton-On-Hudson, NY, researchers are using solitary bee nesting boxes to study how native pollinators respond to wildflower habitat established beneath and around solar arrays. Designed for cavity-nesting species like mason and leafcutter bees, these boxes provide both habitat and a consistent way to monitor pollinator activity over time.
This work reflects a broader shift toward agrivoltaics and ecovoltaics—the intentional design of renewable energy projects to serve both energy and ecological goals. Research partnerships have explored how pollinator-friendly plantings on solar sites can support declining bee populations and enhance pollination services in nearby agricultural areas.
Cedar Hill Solar is a strong example of this dual-purpose approach:
- ~7.5 MW DC of installed capacity
- ~10.9 million kWh generated annually
- Enough clean energy to power ~1,500 homes
- Integrated pollinator-friendly habitat across the site
As the industry continues to scale, projects like Cedar Hill demonstrate how solar can do more than generate clean energy—it can also contribute to biodiversity, land stewardship, and long-term ecosystem health.
Clean energy and conservation, working side by side. ⚡🌼
Everyone is busy, and there's so much to pay attention to. Why not take a moment, a breath, and stare at the grass growing underneath a solar farm in New York.
This is the real face of solar farms. We're not paving over paradise - there are no parking lots here. Just meadows, and quiet enough that you can hear the bees buzzing and birds chirping.
The solar farm shown here is Elmbrook and is supporting the local community and ecosystems in so many ways.
🐝Planted underneath the panels are pollinator-friendly plants, and there is a bat box onsite to support local bat populations.
💵Since late 2022, the community solar farm has also been delivering savings on electricity to local businesses and residents.
🔋And finally, the solar panels are paired with energy storage. It's helping make the grid resilient.
So while you're watching the grass grow, you can think about the hard work all these 6+ gigawatts of distributed solar installed across the state are doing. Every solar farm makes a difference.

Illinois community solar is one of the clearest examples of how clean energy can work for everyday customers. Subscribers can benefit from solar without putting panels on their roof, receive bill credits tied to a share of a local solar farm, and typically save about 10% on those credits — with savings up to 50% for income-eligible households.
Just as important, the program is built with strong oversight. Illinois community solar is governed through Illinois Shines and overseen by the Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC) and Illinois Power Agency (IPA), with standardized disclosures, transparent contracts, and consumer protections built in.
Our new guide breaks down how Illinois community solar works, how customers save, and why the program is designed to expand access to solar without shifting costs onto other ratepayers.

One of the parts of our work we value most is getting to know the people behind the accounts.
Customers like Tylyr T., who lives in Grand Island, NY with his family, remind us that energy decisions aren’t abstract — they’re tied to real homes, real budgets, and real day to day life.
When Tylyr shared his experience with community solar, what stood out wasn’t just the savings — it was how seamlessly it fit into everything else he already had going on.
“I signed up, set it, and everything just integrated.”
We love featuring stories like Tylyr’s because they reflect why we do this work in the first place: making clean energy feel approachable, practical, and grounded in real experiences.
Thanks to customers like Tylyr for trusting us — and for letting us share a small piece of their story. 🌞
