I think it is interesting that Renaissance doctors prescribed herbs that resemble the human body because many of the old Chinese medicine herbalists did the same thing. Surprisingly enough many of these herbs actually do benefit the things that they resemble. One example is that back in the day some wise herbalist noticed that the "meat" of walnut looks like a brain, and now there is a lot of research proving that they are one of the top foods for brain health.

I guess you know that you might be addicted to your phone if you lose that ability to move your fingers. Also if you take a week off of work to spend a week straight on your phone only to take breaks for sleep, you might want to find a different job.

Did you know that trained individuals can sniff out Parkinson's? Researchers have found that the scent of a person's sebum, not sweat, can help determine whether or not a person has Parkinson's. At the beginning of our Chinese medicine training, we are taught that a patient's sweat can be used for diagnosis. This is a skill that not very few practitioners that I know use, and I personally don't use it myself, but it is interesting that scent diagnosis is "a thing" that is now backed by science.
