Initially influenced by bands like The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Velvet Underground, Tame Impala, and The Black Angels, Animals In Exile expand on broader psychedelia, and even their own unique sound, by continually experimenting with elements of garage rock, shoegaze, western folk rock, and eletronica. Led by vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Redding Bacon, the band’s mysterious, artistic and cult-like vibe are enriched by their well-crafted lyrics and leave no doubt about the honesty and visceral nature of the music. The band is releasing their 3rd studio album “Western Gothic”, a collection of thematic songs filled with flamenco chords and reverb-drenched electric guitars that paint a picture of decay, loss, insanity, acceptance and profound beauty.
