Rush Rugby Mission

The mission of Colorado Rush RFC is to provide an opportunity for people in the Greater Denver LGBTQIA+ Community and allies to play rugby on a competitive level. Through practices, socials, matches, fitness programs, fundraising, and recruitment events, the Rush strives to promote awareness and respect for LGBTQIA+ people in contact sports, as well as to strengthen and promote positive self-image and community building. Moreover, the Rush recognizes the historical and systematic oppression of gay men, people of color, and q***r people. By providing an inclusive and affirming space for the individual growth of its members, the Colorado Rush RFC hopes to perpetually dismantle oppression and negative stereotypes in competitive rugby.

Rugby is a fun, physical game that will challenge your mind and body. It encompasses aspects and fundamentals of multiple sports combined into one hard-hitting sport! In addition to the physical aspects of the game, our team also shares a great camaraderie. We participate in weekly social events, fundraising activities, community service events, and team workouts. Whether your goal is to engage yourself in sports or to build upon your social network; we encourage all to join and participate in Rugby. We consistently encourage and welcome new players with any level of sporting experience or age to check us out and see what our club and the sport of rugby has to offer you. We only ask that you be willing to work hard and give us your best.
