Congratulations Keeley Burns, class of 2020 and recipient of the Eugenie Sontag Award!
Keeley has demonstrated through her professional success, academic achievement, and to others; a true testament of the qualities the Sontag Award represents. While earning her MBA in and maintaining a 3.9 GPA, she worked in demanding leadership roles in the areas of compliance and legal counsel with Cigna and Anthem. She has also had two children during this time and has been regularly involved in serving her community through volunteer work with the Denver chapter of Team Red, White, and Blue, an organization that addresses isolation and health challenges many veterans face by facilitating social and physical activities. “Connecting with veterans through coordinating physical activities and being a person to turn to in times of loneliness allowed me to contribute to [relieving] the loneliness epidemic...Continuing to seek out ways to help the veteran community combat loneliness with love and respect will be a lifelong focus.”
