Mountain has received a grant from U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Northern Border Regional Commission to improve their snowmaking capacity. They need to raise $100K in matching funds, but they’re most of the way there, with $12K to go as of today. We chipped in, and hope you will consider it too. Whaleback Mountain is the epitome of the independent ski area where so many young skiers get their start.

Difficult story out of the Colorado ski industry. A skier was paralyzed by a fall from a lift as she was boarding, & is challenging the Colorado Ski Safety Act. Her appeal is before CO Supreme Court. and have filed amicus briefs. h/t
