Acting Assistant Special Agent in Charge Shea joined Office of the District Attorney, Fourth Judicial District of Colorado; Colorado Bureau of Investigation; and Fremont County Coroner for a news conference after Carie Hallford was sentenced to 30 years for crimes she committed at Return to Nature Funeral Home in Penrose, Colo.
The families of 191 people were betrayed by the actions of Carie Hallford and her husband, Jon.
The FBI brought resources and expertise to support our partners, to stand with our neighbors, and to assist in the process that brought the community to the outcome in the courtroom. We cannot erase the pain and trauma of the victims, but we can promise to do all we can to help.
