It was so great to have Sheriff Weekly here this morning for the Sheriff’s Day at the Capitol. I love that he comes here to fight for law and order. He does his job very well. I am thankful for everything he does to keep our community and county safe. Thank you Sheriff Weekly!

Today is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. I want to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation for those who serve in our communities. Sadly, 85,730 officers were assaulted in 2024, the most in 10 years. In 2025, 347 officers were shot, and 111 died in the line of duty. These men and women risk their lives each day to protect and serve our communities. We cannot show enough appreciation for everything that you do. Thank you and God Bless you!!
