Amazon sellers, this one’s for you: When should you file a trademark application?

(At a certain dollar amount in sales? Or after a certain amount of time has passed?)

The answer might surprise you:

The best time to file for a trademark is before you even start using it. Otherwise, someone else might “get in front of you in line” at the USPTO and file for the same or a very similar trademark.

Given the huge number of copycat items flourishing on Amazon, this is something every Amazon seller should know.
