Still can’t get over this composition 😍😍
Sliced Noise World, featured here, is one of my most popular .live scenes to date. In my opinion, one of the things that makes it so special is the unique way that it integrates media input with the 3D geometry and lighting of the scene…technical details below.

So as I said above the media input is integrated with this scene in a unique way…
What’s happening is that I’m defining a secondary point light with its own phong lighting model that uses a texture lookup of the media input for its light color vector. So anywhere this light shines reveals which ever media I’m feeding into the shader/scene. This allows for smooth blending of media while still respecting the camera’s true visibility as it moves through the 3D world. All additional scene shading is still being applied to this light color after we move past the phong lighting step allowing for seamless composition between media input and 3D scene. It’s easiest to see an isolated example of this in slide 9
