Thank you to for featuring our work in 2025 Outdoor Forecast! For an article on resilient gardens, we had the pleasure of speaking with about our process creating wild, biodiverse landscapes. We also shared insights from one of our recent residential projects that brought these ideas to life for our clients.
Diana writes, “For a family with young children in the Denver suburb of Golden, the studio designed a drought-tolerant yard that bursts with purple Russian sage and switchgrass, while integrating existing rock features. Small lawns in the front and back yards offer areas for the kids to play, but the majority of the space feels like a wild meadow just a few blocks from the house.”
It’s always an honor to be part of conversations that highlight the power of nature and design—especially when it leads to more resilient, sustainable spaces. Thank you, ADPRO and

Superbloom is partnering with Denver Public Schools, Biohabitats, Denver Botanic Gardens, Hydrosystems, and the Neighborhood Resilience Corps to develop a districtwide ‘Sustainable Landscapes Manual’ —a guide for transforming DPS campus landscapes into vibrant Colorado meadows and pocket prairies that bring learning outside the classroom! 🌿✨
As the second-largest landowner in Denver, DPS’s initiative will provide students with the chance to connect with the region’s natural beauty by replacing non-essential turfgrass with native plants and ecosystems that require less water and reflect the character of our local landscapes.
Through pilot projects, students will actively engage with these spaces, uncovering their deeper significance. These won’t simply be gardens—they’ll be living classrooms, teaching sustainability, water conservation, and the vital role of habitat and local ecosystems. By reducing water use and supporting native biodiversity, these landscapes will help conserve our precious resources. 💧🌱

A home tucked in the foothills of Golden. We swapped out an expanse of weedy river rock for a mix of native grasses, wildflowers, and hardy perennials. It’s a mini-meadow that not only conserves water, but becomes a ecosystem that supports pollinators, boosts soil health, and looks gorgeous all year. Check out The Spruce, where Dominique from Superbloom shares ideas for making a big impact with small spaces!
