From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who showed up, supported, and helped make this artma milestone such a success. It truly takes a village, and we are so grateful for ours.

To our amazing volunteers, dedicated committee members, and valued partners—your tireless hours before, during, and after the event did not go unnoticed. Whether you were drilling walls, laying carpet, hanging art, cleaning bathrooms, or handling countless behind-the-scenes details, you made it all possible.

Your hard work, passion, and commitment brought this event to life, and we are deeply grateful for every single contribution big and small.

Here’s to 25 years of creativity, community, and curing kids cancer—together.

Twenty-five years ago, what was meant to be a one-night gathering of friends, art, and community became something so much more.

With a shared determination to fund pediatric cancer research—and ensure no child runs out of options—Steven Adams and Joan Slaughter, alongside dear friends Alan and Valerie Appelbaum, Bari DeJaynes, Nikki DiTommaso, and many others, created the very first artma.

What started as a single evening has grown into a powerful legacy of impact, hope, and progress. 💛

Thank you to everyone who has become a part of this legacy and who helps it grow year after year.

✨ artma 2026 Live Auction Preview ✨

We are incredibly honored to feature Shack in the Spring #2 by Beverly Buchanan (1940 - 2015) in this year’s Live Auction.

A powerful voice in the Outsider and self-taught art dialogue, Buchanan transformed historic Southern homesteads and handmade buildings into deeply moving works that explore memory, impermanence, and untold histories. Trained under Norman Lewis, her work is held in major collections including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the High Museum of Art.

Rendered in vibrant oil pastel, Shack in the Spring #2 (13" x 16") embodies her signature expressive mark-making — honoring resilience, ingenuity, and the poetry of everyday structures. Generously donated by Diane J. Mayer, this is a rare opportunity to collect a museum-caliber work while supporting kids with cancer.
