The end of what many of us refer to as 2021 has brought many lessons and opportunities. Throughout the year, I wrestled with many ideas and grew to question everything including my own name. I had to take a deep dive into my spiritual self to understand how my emotional and physical self were suffering extensively. At this time, there are only more questions, yet less concern over the direction. An infinite storm of wisdom has guided me through 2021 and I have witnessed first hand the growth of many communities.

I want to acknowledge and specifically thank the Creator for all that there is and ever will be, while sharing my gratitude for the courageous and patient communities of .valencia.1 c and so many more folks. We are enduring right now. We are resilient right now. Black Boy Joy & Black Girl Magic is being resurrected, our Grandmothers and Grandfathers are watching from their ancestral thrones, we are unifying in both seen and unseen ways. Now is the greatest moment we could have on this planet, even if or when it feels paralyzing. I lived through my paralysis and have much further to go.

May we see a light somewhere in the eternal unknown. May we unapologetically rise to the drum✊🏾
