"Mezi HATED his sister for about a month after we got her. The first day we brought her home, he threw tantrum after tantrum huffing and growling annoyed to have another pup in the house. Mind you, we do Rover on the side so he was used to having other dogs around. But, somehow he just knew this one was here to stay. Anyway, Caly eventually takes a nap in the kennel and starts snoring (which she does to this day). Mezi had fallen asleep on the other side of the room and wakes up from a dead sleep from her snoring to glare at Cal sleeping and then swiveled his head to glare at us for the audacity of bringing this loud puppy into the house.
About a month later, and they were the best of friends! You’d never think that happened with how inseparable they are!
Mezi - We’ve got Mez as a 4-month old puppy when we lived in TN. He was from a hoarding situation and he was super sick. The vet legitimately tried to ease us into putting him down, but we pushed forward and he is now almost 9 years old.
Caly - Cal is our COVID pup. She’s from Soul Dog rescue in Fort Lupton and full of sass. She knows how to read a room and find the sucker to give her the most pets. Her big brown eyes and half cocked ear are the perfect draw to convince anyone that she’s never been pet (never mind the monthly Chewy delivery and orthopedic dog beds spread around the house)." -Sam .denlinger

"I wish I could say I adopted June bug. She acts like a rescue with how shy and timid she is. She came from a breeder in Arkansas. I drove clear across Kansas to go rescue her from her giant brothers and sisters. She was the first born and runt of litter. Juniper (aka JuneBug, Junie, or at times crackhead) may only weigh 20lbs, but she takes up 80% of the bed and 100% of your heart! She is a Doodle mix of King Charles Cavalier, Havanese, and of course Poodle! She’s shy until the snacks appear and has logged more flight hours than most humans. Basically she is a Bed hogging, Jet setting, snack obsessed chicken nugget and my favorite floof." Jaylin

"I got Paco 4 years ago from a shelter. He was 10 at the time and was abandoned at the vet because original owners couldn’t pay vet bills of him getting bit another dog on the head. He loves fetching ball and is very treat motivated. Paco will play fetch indoors no matter how much he has walked that day - often till 11:30pm at night ! He’s had pictures with Santa and the Easter bunny and always looks displeased ;) " -Jaime
