The story of this song is so fun. This song was born as an assignment in my songwriting production class, during my last semester

It was the first time I fully produced/made something on my own. The assignment was to just “create something”.

I wanted to take it a step further, by writing and producing in a style that was unfamiliar to me and out of my comfort zone- alas the style of Tate McRae became my muse for this assignment. You’ll see in these slides, snippets of me writing the song starting with ✨pitchy✨singing with me & my guitar, coming up with the beats/synths, and how the process of creating worked in my brain. Forcing myself to step out of comfort zone and not get scared of creating something exciting. Along with not abandoning ship if I felt I wouldn’t do it justice.

Luckily, we’re here and it’s yours now 🥹 With that said, I hope you enjoy my first shot at creating something fully on my own, from the ground up. I’m incredibly proud of it. AND I hope you have a safe and Happy Halloween 😌 I hope it’s SO sweet ❤️‍🔥
