“Perfection is the enemy of done”
-my friend, Walter
This has been a lengthy project full of opportunities to widen my skillset and I’m having a blast- but my friend’s words echo in my ear every time I notice something that could be a bit better. There will be time after the jeep is running again to polish the little things. I’m committed to getting it done and I’d rather be ugly and done than perfect, unfinished, sitting on jack stands. Here’s to following through and achieving your goals!

Making slow progress on the 1 ton swap for Stubby. It’s been an eventful winter but I was happy to find the time and get this piece done. I’m expecting the project to get a lot more fun from here. If you know, you know. #2005

My garage is a mess of super duty axle parts but I’m glad to finally have this truss on the table.

I lost my father in 2019, the same year I married Emily and in a way began my new Colorado life. It still breaks my heart when I realize I can’t share accomplishments and milestones with my dad, or seek his advice on a problem I’m facing. I’d give anything to spend an afternoon fishing with my old man. I’d bring him out to Colorado and share with him the beauty I get to see every day. We’d discuss business and how silly politics are getting. He was an impressive man and I didn’t tell him nearly enough how much he meant to me, how much he inspired me, or how much I loved him.

Call your dad if you still can and Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there!
