Wine Squared will be closing permanently on July 31st.
Wine Squared opened in 2005, back when the square looked a lot different. I, George Ferrie, have had the privilege of being a part of the growth since 2015. It has been a pleasure growing, teaching, and expanding your wine knowledge over the last decade and a half. It’s been an honor being a part of your showers, birthdays, book clubs, weddings, and so much more. Our own little Kenny even got married here days before we shut down. Wine Squared would like to thank Kenny and Wandaliz for all of their years of hard work and friendship. We’ve made so many memories and had so many good times.
For a small business, this is a huge decision. Local service industry workers are one of the most affected workforces during this global pandemic. Every purchase made since March 16th has kept the lights on, vendors paid, and employees home and safe. We cannot thank you enough. We will also be messaging all Gift Card purchasers at a later date about how they wish to move forward, and updating on curbside/delivery moving forward.
Downtown Denton relies on the efforts of small businesses and artists to draw people into this town, and to entertain those that live in it. We persevere and are constantly resilient during tough times. We are what makes Denton so unique and wonderful. However you feel during this pandemic, please do not forget to support your neighbors. Support Local and respect what each and every establishment has to do to survive and thrive.
