With heavy hearts, the Denison Arts Council shares the news that Steve O. Black has passed away.

Steve was a true Maker: a painter, sculptor, printmaker, storyteller, and one of the most creative spirits our community has ever known. His work and his presence shaped the arts in Denison in ways we are only beginning to understand the depth of tonight.

We don't have all the details yet, and we will share more as we're able. For now, please hold his family, friends, and everyone who loved him, our art community and beyond in your hearts.

Denison lost an artist today. But his work and his spirit will keep speaking.
