Empowered to Rise provides a "place of refuge" for oppressed people (of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking) by offering a secure mode of communication and intervention conducive to restoration. Empowered to Rise also fulfills its mission by educating the community about domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking through its website, Facebook, twitter and blogs. The community can learn how to recognize signs of oppression (of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking), where to seek help, and what they can do to prevent further abuse. Through survivor advocacy, education, spiritual counseling, referrals and a continuum of care plan of assistance, the brokenhearted will be empowered to live independently.
