Important Information: Animal Services – For City of Delta Residents Only

At this time, animal shelter services are available for City of Delta residents only.

Residents outside of Delta city limits are not eligible for shelter services during this transition period.

The City of Delta would like to clarify recent information regarding Roice-Hurst Humane Society and local animal services.

The animal shelter located at 720 W 4th Street in Delta remains open and operational through the end of the month. We understand there has been confusion, and we want to reassure the community that services are still currently available during this time.

As previously shared, Roice-Hurst Humane Society is transitioning out of shelter operations. The City of Delta is actively working with a new organization to ensure operations continue without interruption.

What this means for City of Delta residents:

-Animal Control services will continue as normal
-Shelter services are temporarily limited to City of Delta residents only
-Continue reporting animal-related concerns as usual, nothing has changed on our end

Use local resources like Delta County Colorado Lost and Found Pets on Facebook to help reconnect pets with owners.
