You know that saying of "You can have more clothes than the elders, but definitely not more rags than them"? Hmmmmnnn.

Ighalo has been there, done that and even retired earlier because he was practically cyber bullied and threatened by so the called football lovers because of a goal he missed. Alexander Iwobi also suffered the same fate after AFCON23 but none of them thought it wise to go on social media to descend into the gutter with their "accusers".

I love Victor Osimhen's passion, doggedness, tenacity and fighting spirit. I vehemently stood against those who attempted to downplay his efforts at AFCON because this is one player who gives 110% on the pitch. His passion is simply contagious!

But when Victor crossed the line by descending so low, I won't pretend just because he is Osimhen. Reality is aside being a Nigerian Ambassador and one of National symbol in Sports, Victor lives in a society that doesn't forgive.

✳️Did no one tell him the standards are even higher because of obvious reasons?
✳️Does he realise the responsibilities are huge and he will be judged rashly per his statis?
✳️Has he not stumbled on the phrase "the higher you go......" before?

Those who have followed his story closely will agree he is in a very delicate situation with his transfer as his release clause is proving difficult for clubs to meet and we know the obvious reasons once again. Osimhen's huge transfer fee has made clubs who erstwhile had interest take several steps back and we are the same people who wants him out of Napoli ASAP for a third obvious reason🤔

Last I checked, only a Saudi Club was willing to part with such huge money for Victor but I doubt he wants to go there. I've said this going by the fact that when his Georgian team mate's agent hinted at Victor being only good enough to move to Saudi at the end of season, Victor took to IG story to send profane words to the agent. He somehow got away with that.

Now that clubs, coaches, team mates, brands and federations will have a feast on his IG live, I honestly hope and pray it won't haunt him way beyond what he ever envisaged.
