I was asked for information on the even numbered houses in the 210-270 block of S. Franklin St. The first house on that side of the block in 1901 was #210. Manuel (or Emmanuel) Dellinger (71) was a plasterer. He and his wife, Margretta (65) rented the house. Their daughter, Ellie (21), was a glove maker. NOTE: See the comments for the rest of the houses in this block.

I've been asked about the even side of the 300 block of N. Sandusky St. In 1901 this block had 10 houses, but some of them were so new that they weren't in the 1900 U.S. Census. The first house on the block was #322 because #316 hadn't yet been built. #322: rented by H. H. Fuller (36) a clerk
Wife: Hattie E. (29)
Charles L. (9) at school
Hugh H. (6) at school
Genevra A. (5) – I’m not sure of this name because it was so hard to read

I was asked about a house on Chamberlain St. One of the houses on the block was $12 Chamberlain St. In the 1900 U.S. Census there are only 2 houses in the block on that side of Chamberlain St. The first ( #12) is owned by Patrick Gogerty (40) who was a Railroad brakeman. His wife, Mary was 32. Now, here is where it gets hairy. The 1900 US. Census says his father and mother, Patrick (50) and Margaret N. (45) were living with them. They came from Ireland. Notice the ages listed in the census. These people apparently had a children at an incredibly young age! šŸ™‚ Unfortunately, their house is no longer there.
