Real Pet Behavior

Sam made this for our newsletter a while back. I don't think we ever shared it here.

Dear Diary, Mom stuffed Kongs today. I cleaned the pastry bag she used to fill them, but did I get a thank you... no I did not. Apparently the licking of the pastry bag was reinforcement for sitting on my special kitchen mat while she stuffed the Kongs and other toys. I mean I love reinforcement as much as the next dog, but a simple thank you for assisting with the dishes would be nice too. Do I not live in a civilized world where manners are appreciated? If I have to have basic manners and say please and thank you by sitting, shouldn't she? It's two little words that mean so much to everyone including me! Anyhow... THANK YOU for reading my rant... must go sit and wait for dinner cause I'm not uncivilized like my mother!
