The Marcissimo Art

Hello everyone,

It has been an incredibly difficult choice, but I’ve decide that I will be ceasing my journey as an artist for a while… I’ve come to realize that my current path is not aligning with the personal journey that I’m entering, which is requiring most of my energy. Growing up my dream was to become a successful artist, but I never realized how negatively it would impact my life. The expectations of wanting to be a “successful” artist fell heavy on me. I enjoyed creating on my terms as a way of expressing & comping certain emotions, but having those expectations of having to constantly create in order to be seen as “successful” as well as forcing myself into a box I didn’t fit inside, changed what it truly meant to be an artist for me. I just wanted to take the time to thank every single person that supported me along the way, and to anyone who ever allowed me the opportunity to create. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I will always be grateful for that. Younger me is very much proud of what I accomplished as an artist. I still plan on creating from time to time, but without any hard expectations. Who knows, maybe I’ll be able to get back into it with time. For now this is farewell…

P.S. it’s okay to outgrow versions of yourself to allow room for new growth.
