In Bruce Lipton's book, The Biology of Belief, he talks about how a cells environment has more of an affect on how genes express themselves than the coding from DNA itself...

In other words, our genes are not our destiny!

In fact, the environment, including our beliefs, has a far greater impact on gene expression than our genetics (p.72).

This means that having a genetic predisposition for drinking alcohol and becoming dependent doesn't mean being labeled as an 'alcoholic' for life who will always be dependent.

Craving and being dependent on alcohol is not a result of genetics, but rather a result of the environment and beliefs we've been exposed to.

So, let's shift our perspective and start creating the environment that supports our sobriety and health! "
