Among things that only apply to sellers of used tires and not those that sell new tires, Puerto Rico’s Legislature and Governor signed by Jennifer Gonzalez Colon, into law on August 8th, once again.

Deerfield-News.Inc. DBA Usedtires.com and C.O.D. Tire Distributors of Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, will seek a declaratory judgment and TRO barring the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico from enforcing Law 19 of 20325 as it is unconstitutional and facially discriminates against the sellers of used tires and not the sellers of new tires. The law introduced by Speaker of the House of Representatives Mendez at the behest of the New Tire Makers, we believe, is a conspiracy, an unfair business practice, also violates Anti-Trust laws, and more.
We of 2025have instructed our attorneys Nachman and Guillemard, along with suing Goodyear, Bridgestone/Firestone, Michelin, Pirelli, and the Tire Makers’ Trade Association USTIRES.org
