From Nantasket Beach (Hull, MA), Quincy Quarries (Quincy, MA), and Hammond Pond (Brookline, MA), to the White Mountains of New Hampshire, Nobles has access to many different outdoor classrooms. Throughout the year, we sponsor trips that allow students to participate in activities such as hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, and camping. We also take advantage of the local indoor climbing gyms so that students can develop safe climbing practices while improving their skills. Students who participate in the Outdoor Program not only gain new skills, but they learn to take healthy risks, make informed decisions, and overcome physical and mental challenges. By taking advantages of opportunities to lead and to follow, students develop the confidence needed to navigate the outdoors. No prior is experience is needed. In fact, many of our teachers and students encounter these activities for the first time by signing up for an Outing Club trip. All that is required is a willingness to take risks and a desire to have fun!
