Fresh from the farm and back on our shelves: Swiss Raw Milk, restocked and ready for your table. This is the kind of simple, honest goodness our community loves—bottled at the source, brought straight to The Storehouse, and shared with families who appreciate real food.
If you’re part of our Buyers Club, you already know how quickly this favorite goes. If not, now’s a good time to join and enjoy early access to items just like this.
And while you’re here, we’ve also restocked our Fresh Off the Farm sourdough treats. Soft, wholesome, and made with care.
Would this milk pair with one of those little pecan pies?
You better believe it.

🌾 Freshly Milled Family Moments 🌾
There’s just something special about seeing families come together around good food — and even more special when that food starts right here at The Storehouse!
This sweet family stopped by to grind their own wheat on our new flour mill, turning local grain into fresh, nutrient-rich flour for baking at home. 💛
When you mill your own flour, you keep all the good stuff — the natural oils, fiber, and vitamins that are often lost in store-bought flour. Plus, it tastes incredible.
It’s a simple reminder that food doesn’t have to come from far away to be meaningful — it can come from your own community, your own hands, and your own kitchen. 🍞
Stop by The Storehouse and give it a try — we’ll show you how!

🌾 Introducing The Storehouse
Shop Local. Feed Local. Harvest Blessings. Share Abundance.
Hey friends, we want to take a few minutes to properly introduce The Storehouse!
We’ve had so much excitement since opening our doors, but also a lot of great questions like,
“What exactly is The Storehouse?” or “How does this help people?”
So here’s the story; what we’re doing, why it matters, and how YOU are a part of it.
🏡 What Is The Storehouse?
The Storehouse is a nonprofit-owned community market and food pantry right here in Wise County.
We exist to educate, inform, and provide; creating a place where good people doing good work can come together to feed our community well.
Every dollar spent here helps fill someone else’s pantry; literally.
We’re here to make sure that no child, senior, widow, or struggling family goes without healthy, local food.
When you shop with us, you’re not just buying groceries; you’re building a stronger Wise County.
📍 Where We’re Located and Why It Matters
You’ll find us inside Fit-N-Wise; in the same café area as our friends at FamFood.
Our partnership with FamFood was born out of a shared mission: both of us want to see our community fed, cared for, and supported. FamFood gives back through meals for local kids and missionaries around the world, and they’ve generously shared their space so The Storehouse could begin right here in the heart of the community.
So when you stop by, you’ll see the FamFood signs and our Storehouse market inside. Come on in; grab a salad if you’d like, or head straight to the shelves and discover what’s new from our local makers and growers.
❤️ Who We Serve and Why We Exist
At its heart, The Storehouse exists for those in need right here at home; kids, seniors, widows, and families doing their best to make ends meet.
Our focus right now is education through connection: helping people understand where their food comes from, what’s in it, and how it nourishes the body. We do this through simple things; clear labeling, sharing farmer stories, and everyday conversation.
As we grow, we’ll expand into workshops, cooking demos, and nutrition classes; but even now, our goal is the same: to feed both body and spirit.
🤝 How Your Purchase Helps Others
This is one of the biggest questions we get; and it’s the heart of what makes The Storehouse special.
When you shop at full retail price, you’re paying it forward.
Here’s how it works:
💚 Example: When you buy a $6 pound of local meat, you’re directly making it possible for a SNAP, WIC, or Meals on Wheels shopper to pay only $3 for that same item.
Every purchase contributes to a community share fund that allows families with assistance benefits to access the same high-quality, local foods you enjoy — not canned or processed substitutes, but fresh, wholesome food straight from local farms.
And because we’re owned by a nonprofit, 100% of profits go back into the pantry to support families right here in Wise County.
Your grocery list becomes someone else’s answered prayer.
🥕 Why Shop Here?
Because nobody wants to fight through Walmart. 😆
At The Storehouse, you’re shopping alongside neighbors not strangers.
You know the names and faces behind the food:
• Brittany from Fresh Off the Farm,
• Mike out at Sandy Creek Dairy,
• Michelle with Veterans Liberty Ranch — and so many more.
These are local farmers, homesteaders, and homemakers who pour their hearts into what they grow and make.
When you shop here, you’re keeping your dollars in Wise County and feeding your community at the same time.
🧺 What You’ll Find Inside
The Storehouse is a little bit farmers market, a little bit old-fashioned general store, and a whole lot of heart.
You’ll find:
• Fresh produce and local meats
• Homemade sourdough and baked goods
• Raw milk, fresh eggs, and handmade desserts
• Herbal tinctures and natural remedies
• DIY stations like grind-your-own coffee and grind-your-own peanut butter
• A working flour mill; bring your own wheat berries or use ours to make fresh flour for your favorite recipes
We’re also proud to legally offer products you won’t find in regular grocery stores. Thanks to our nonprofit structure, we can safely and legally distribute raw milk, cottage goods, and other home-produced items under Texas cottage laws, all carefully inspected to meet our high safety standards.
When you shop at The Storehouse, you’re getting food that’s fresh, safe, and made with love.
🌱 Building a Community of Givers
The Storehouse isn’t just a store, it’s a movement.
We believe the people of Wise County can take care of their own.
Our dream is a community that doesn’t have to rely on far-off systems or government programs, but on the goodness and generosity of neighbors helping neighbors.
You can be part of it:
🛒 Shop with us — every purchase gives back.
🙌 Volunteer with us — lend your hands to help feed others.
🚜 Become a vendor — or tell us who you’d like to see here!
Together, we’re building something beautiful, a place where everyone, no matter their situation, can share in abundance.
From all of us at The Storehouse,
thank you for believing in this mission and helping us grow it, one meal at a time.

🌾 Vendor Spotlight: Fresh off the Farm 🌾
Here at The Storehouse, we’re proud to partner with folks who put as much care into their work as we do — and Fresh off the Farm is one of them.
Their sourdough breads and homemade desserts are the kind that remind you what food is supposed to taste like — simple, honest, and made by hand. Every loaf and treat comes from local home kitchens where quality still matters.
If you’ve had their bread, you know it doesn’t last long on the shelf. We’re grateful to share their work with our community — and we think you’ll taste the difference, too.

Our first of many, “Vendor Spotlight”! This vendor is a community staple, with a strong motivation for giving back, sharing their abundance and educating our youth. They are a great example of what we look for in our partners.
DEMASES FARM has operated in North Texas for over 100 years. They pride themselves on growing fresh vegetables and creating cherished family experiences. Established in 1919 by James Demases, a Greek immigrant, the farm began in Tarrant County, Texas, before finding its home in the fertile Trinity River Bottom Land in Boyd, Texas, in 1987.
Experience the tradition, make memories, and take home the best produce that Texas soil has to offer!
Their produce is grown with a perfect blend of time-honored farming traditions passed down for over a century and modern, safe agricultural practices. This commitment to quality ensures freshness, flavor, and quality-grown crops. They proudly cultivate a diverse selection of produce, including kale, collards, mustard greens, turnips, beets, carrots, squash, tomatoes, potatoes, onions, peas, beans, watermelons, cantaloupes, and strawberries.
Demases Farm produce, available at The Storehouse.

You know how some places just feel different? That’s The Storehouse. It’s not just a grocery store—it’s a gathering place built from love, faith, and the belief that everyone deserves good food and a sense of belonging. We started with a simple hope: to feed our community well and to make sure no one has to choose between eating healthy and making ends meet.
What makes us able to do this? Honestly, it’s people like you! People with generous hearts, faithful partners, vendors who believe in the mission, and neighbors who shop with purpose. Every donation and purchase stretches further than you’d imagine—because we buy smart, we save what others toss, and we turn it into something meaningful. We’ve even been gifted a freeze dryer so we can rescue food, preserve its nutrition, and create meals that are both comforting and practical—like soups and casseroles ready to feed someone who really needs it.
And here’s what’s beautiful: everything we earn goes right back into the mission. We’re nonprofit-owned, which means we don’t pocket profits. We pour them into helping folks get healthier, stay connected, and feel cared for. We offer discounts to families on SNAP, WIC, and other programs. We also work with Meals on Wheels and local groups to reach those who often go unseen.
But, it’s more than food. It’s about lifting people up. That’s why we plan to host classes that teach cooking, nutrition, and the kinds of skills that empower families to take charge of their well-being. It’s why we offer a space for local farmers and makers—so their homegrown eggs, veggies, and handmade goods have a place to shine. Because when we support each other, we all rise.
So, if you’ve been wondering what we’re about—this is it. Real people, doing real good, in real ways. Come visit. Donate if you can. Shop with purpose. Or, just spread the word. We’re here for the community and we’d love to have you with us.
