Excited for our friend Coach Kesean moving to Berlin for work. The last several years you have been a huge force in our school. From tough rolls to key insights and becoming a certified Instructor. This is not a goodbye it is until next time. Have an epic experience and we look forward to sharing the mat with you again in the future.

Yesterday I was humbled and moved at Captain Phillips' funeral. It was truly a celebration of his life not a mourning of our loss. One of our first students in 2019, Capt. Phillips was a driving force in creating our school culture. His focus on inspiring and helping others showed on the mat. New students, law enforcement, kids he lifted everyone up. To hear others speak of him the recurring theme was he was always there to help others while making time to focus on his own development.

You were taken away too soon. Your work in the community, encouraging LEO to train Jiu-jitsu, leadership groups, your family and your Gracie Decatur family will miss you.

Capt. Phillips I am honored to call you a student, a friend and a brother. We will honor you by living your creed of always improving yourself and lifting up others around you.
