Time for another Five ⭐️ Friday!

This is where we share real experiences from real members that tell YOU why Saddle Up should be your box too!

Today’s review is short and super sweet from Audrynn!

And so many SUCF members feel the same way she does — the gym changed her fitness journey and she got so much encouragement from fellow members.

At Saddle Up that’s what we strive for. We want your journey to be transformative. To be an environment different from the others. We don’t want to be like the box down the street. We want you to get a unique, encouraging, and insanely positive experience so you keep coming back. Day after day. 👏🏼

🏃‍♂️ Running. Aerobic capacity workouts. Love them or hate them?

We decided to sprinkle in a little Mayhem endurance fun for Thursday’s workout, and let’s just say… the reviews were mixed. 😂

Some athletes were all about the chance to build their engine. Others were already plotting how to avoid eye contact with the whiteboard. 👀

The truth is, whether you love endurance workouts or dread them, they’re an important piece of becoming a well-rounded athlete. They build stamina, mental toughness, and help you keep moving when things get uncomfortable.

So tell us… where do you stand?

❤️ Love it
😒 Hate it
🤷 Depends on how much running is involved

Drop your thoughts below! ⬇️

At each of our CrossFit Kids Camps, we spend a little time talking about nutrition and how to fuel our bodies well.

Back during our Thanksgiving Break Camp, I introduced the kids to a simple resource called “Eat the Rainbow.” We talked about the importance of eating different colors of fruits and vegetables throughout the week and how each color provides different nutrients our bodies need. I challenged the kids to fill out their rainbow chart and bring it back to me. Four kiddos completed every color over three days!

I’ll admit, I added a little incentive with some protein ice cream. 😜 But the real win was seeing the impact it had. One of my own kiddos, who had always insisted she didn’t like blueberries, ended up demolishing an entire package after finally giving them a chance. Turns out she actually loves them now.

Fast forward to this week’s Kids Camp. I brought back the Eat the Rainbow challenge, but this time I gave it to the kids on the last day and encouraged them to work out a reward with their parents if they hit their goal. Once again, this simple tool proved how powerful it can be.

My own kids came home reaching for fruit instead of the high-sugar snacks, and I received sweet text messages from parents sharing similar stories.

Teaching kids how to fuel their bodies doesn’t have to be complicated. My goal at Saddle Up CrossFit is to help these kiddos develop a healthy relationship with food, learn that nutrition can be fun, and build habits that will serve them well for years to come.

Sometimes the smallest lessons make the biggest impact. 🌈🍓🫐🥕
