Traditionally, the elementary and middle school programs at MSAE mark the last day of school with a Field Day celebration. This day is filled with team-building activities and mixed-age groups that promote cooperation and sportsmanship. There are also plenty of opportunities to get wet and a little messy! Here are a few highlights from this epic day.
A Montessori lesson in Lower Elementary is a beautiful blend of curiosity, independence, and discovery.
You might see a small group of students gathered around a lesson, listening closely as the teacher introduces a new concept with hands-on materials. The lesson is intentional and concise. It is just enough to spark interest and give students the tools they need to explore further.

Applause, applause! The final MSAE drama production of the year took place on Friday, and the Elf Owl Class truly shined. They performed an adaptation of Little Women by Louisa May Alcott, bringing the beloved story to life with creativity, energy, and heart. It was a wonderful way to celebrate their hard work and close out the year on a high note.

The Chickadees (Primary) have found the perfect place to work—a picnic table on the patio—where fresh air and sunshine create an ideal environment for focus and discovery.

Did you know this year marks the 100th anniversary of the Atlanta Historical Society? 🎉
The Emu Class (Upper Elementary) spent Tuesday morning exploring the Atlanta History Center and taking full advantage of all it has to offer. From examining primary sources to deepening their understanding of the price of freedom, students engaged thoughtfully with history in a hands-on way.
A highlight of the visit was experiencing the Atlanta Cyclorama, where the past came to life on a grand scale. It was a meaningful and memorable day of learning, curiosity, and connection to the stories that have shaped our community.
