Today, we honor the life and legacy of Rev. Jesse Jackson. I had the privilege of witness his conviction up close. I heard the stories. I felt the weight of the movement in his presence.

Rev. Jackson was not just a civil rights leader. He was a bridge — between generations, between the pulpit and the public square, between protest and policy. He carried the torch of Dr. King and refused to let it dim.

He taught us that faith must walk, speak, and show up. That justice is not an abstract idea but a daily pursuit. That our voices matter — especially when they tremble.

Rest well, Rev. Jackson. Thank you for blazing the trail so many of us now walk.
