Johnson and Sons Foundry initially produced counterbalanced weights for window sashes. As these weights became obsolete, the company became Decatur Foundry, Inc. and moved into the production of annealing pots for heat treatment purposes. Expansion of our facility and capabilities in the 1970’s led Decatur Foundry into the gray and ductile iron casting of parts for the motor frame, valve, and pump industries.
