Thank you to the attendees, exhibitors and sponsors who helped make CONVEY’26 the largest event in the conference’s 17-year history.

Beyond the educational sessions and trade show, CONVEY offered an opportunity for professionals to reconnect with longtime colleagues, build new relationships and exchange ideas with others who understand the challenges of the industry. That sense of connection and camaraderie is a big part of what makes the event valuable.

For those looking for more safety and operations information, our recent webinar with CCS Group is now available online. Hayes Guillot explains how drones and ground-penetrating radar can help facilities identify hidden damage, reduce confined space entry and make more informed repair decisions.

The July/August issue of Grain Journal is also now available. Its cover story introduces the artists behind the Flagler, Colorado, grain elevator mural and Paint the Plains, an initiative celebrating the agricultural communities and landmarks that continue to shape rural America.

Also arriving is our 29th annual Equipment Catalog. Designed as a year-round resource for grain, feed, milling, seed and biofuels operations, the catalog features more than 350 products and services from 140 trusted industry suppliers.

More than 1,000 reports in one year.

That’s what happened after Joe Mlynek helped launch a companywide near-miss reporting program for an agribusiness company with about 2,500 employees.

In his latest Grain Journal column, Joe shares why near-miss reporting works best when the focus is on learning, not blame. When employees feel comfortable reporting what almost happened, organizations can uncover exposures, share lessons across locations and address hazards before they become incidents.

Next week at CONVEY'26, Joe will bring that same practical safety perspective as part of the Rolling Stock Fall Protection Best Practices panel.

The panel will cover feasible solutions, equipment and training strategies for managing the hazards of accessing railcars and other rolling stock.

Joe will be part of the Rolling Stock Fall Protection Best Practices panel, where safety professionals will discuss feasible solutions, equipment and training strategies for managing the unique hazards of accessing railcars and other rolling stock.
